Personality Profile: Brooding and calculating he cares little for the pomp and drama of Western society and is having troubles fitting in. He was born in a different place and has a hard time relating to others, many finding him morbid and dark when he was coaxed into speaking at all which rarely if ever happened without the coaxing of alcohol.

Physical Description: Having been a rake-thin youth combat toughened him, working his muscle into sinew and eventually the success of his military accomplishments garnered him greater access to foodstores. As he matured and grew into adulthood his body filled out, having been tall for his age he didn't grow much out but put on a considerable amount of weight from training and ready access to protein. He had military cropped black hair and a physique that was borne from deprivation and hardship. Lean of face his features were average aside from a broken nose that caused some assymmetry that went along with his square lantern jaw. Dark eyes that seemed almost dead stared right through you and he had an unmistakeably military bearing. That being said those who had served in a regular force would note his lack of certain postures, he had never performed drill or been forced to stand at attention, but he had the eerie eyes of one who has seen too much death and lived where showing weakness meant you didn't wake up. He usually wore combat boots, cargo pants and pocketed long-sleeve. No rings, adornments or tattoos visible on his person he could blend in fairly well and had a face that was easily forgotten.

Mutation/Powers:

Primary : Duplication -

Gezg can create duplicates of himself from any point of contact with his body. These duplicates have all of his abilities and can even create duplicates of themselves. At the moment he is limited to 9 total manifestations of himself.

These duplicates can be "hijacked" by Gezg himself in order to see through their eyes or make use of their other senses. This application however is only possible if they are within a square mile for the time being as he is unable to sort through the static at longer distances for now.

Aside from the use of this far-seeing ability, should Gezg rejoin with a clone he will absorb their experiences and the knowledge they have gained since their separation. Should one of the duplicates die, Gezg himself suffers no harm but will not learn what they have learned during the time spent apart and those memories will be lost forever. These clones are identical to him in every way and can make use of his extensive training to coordinate themselves with an almost supernatural precision.

Secondary : Physical Augmentation -

The same ability which allows him to reproduce himself allows him to make alterations to his physical form in less overt ways. As a result of this manipulation he is consistently near the human physical peak and at the cost of reducing himself in other ways, he can boost himself beyond those limits into the realm of the superhuman. Should he wish to boost his strength in order to perform a task he would have to sacrifice flexibility and speed as was logical for any kind of physical manipulation of that nature. This ability allows him to affect his healing in a very limited fashion as well.

Tertiary :

N/A at this time however his demolitions and guerilla warfare training during the Chechnyan wars leaves him with an expertise rarely allowed off-base.

Drawbacks/Weaknesses/Side Effects :

When a duplicate is subjective to intense sensations such as a physical injury or a psychological shock or trauma, there is a feedback effect to Gezg. Normally there is a cutoff that allows him to survive the backlash of the destruction of one of his clones, but if the effect is not fatal it seems this safety measure is not engaged. As a result when a clone experiences an extremely painful injury, his own body mirrors the sensation and this can take him some time to overcome depending on how intense the experience is.

When he reabsorbs a clone that has sustained injury or even been damaged psychologically he will be changed as a result himself. The injury will be however be reduced considerably, even to the point where a mortally wounded clone can be reabsorbed into his body without killing him as long as he can concentrate on healing.

Gezg is not aware of it at this time, but each time one of his duplicates dies, he is losing some of his humanity, becoming more and more emotionally detached and deadened.

How do you believe this character's powers will further develop in the future? (Note: Not required for staff members.)

The number of duplicates will increase and his control over their senses will extend in range. Eventually he may become capable of sustaining a Hive mind which might allow him to divide his awareness between more than one body at once. His physical augmentation will grow proportionally as his control over the amount of power he can put forth will become more refined.

Background:

Born in a Russian-subjugated Chechnya he was a trapper's son and thus a trapper himself until the First Chechnyan war broke out where he was quickly forced to make use of his hunting skills in order to stay alive. There were many younger than him that fought against the Russian occupation and there were many older but it was here that his personality was shaped forever. In 1994 when the worst shelling since the destruction of Dresden began, his family was lucky to be in the countryside, but soon the call to arms began and after his parents, younger sister and older brother were killed in a Russian bombing raid he was indicted into the resistance who fought using hit and run guerilla tactics that he was well suited towards. Already trained in the use of firearms, tracking and stealth by his father he knew the area around his families trap lines like no other and proved himself to be of a use greater than his age would imply. Taken under the wing of some of the more militant of the Chechnyans he was soon being used to place explosives at key locations as his slight build and young age usually disarmed most suspicions.

It was in the Second Chechnyan war where the skills he had learned in the First came into fruition. Having been used to plant explosives when he was younger he had learned a few things about them. Along with this risk however came knowledge and he was put to work not only using the IED's but making them himself. He was a full time soldier, having spent the few years between the conflicts working for various military leaders who were very much intermarried with the organised crime syndicates everpresent in war-torn Chechnya. Becoming fairly expert in the manufacture of explosives he was a useful tool for those who sought to destabilise the Russian authority over Chechnya. Rumour has it that the bomb that took out a GRU garrison was of his own make though Russian authorities were quick to dismiss it as a gas leak rather than credit the death of over a dozen special forces operatives to the simple Chechnyans. Over this time he made use of his abilities, never needing to truly pull back a clone he could send them into situations that would otherwise require a sacrifice to fulfill the objective. He did his best to hide his talents, taking effort not to ever be caught in a situation where he had divided and as a result managed to survive much longer than he might have otherwise in his devastated countries.

It is only now that the knowledge of his abilities as a mutant have come to the attention of those seeking out those of their kind at the Cobalt Academy. A lifelong soldier he was now brought to a more civilised place, taken away from the country where the bones of his family are buried and is doing his best to adapt. Thankfully he has a fairly solid grasp of English though his accent remains thick in his speech.
