Personality Profile: On a whole Merlin is quiet and reserved, not one to show off or be noticed in a crowd. He is relatively intelligent, though again he does not show it very often so as not to show up others. Always willing to take a back seat, have others take his credit.

Physical Description: Small and light, Merlin is not terribly fit but nor is he unfit. His features are mostly still stuck with the boyish look but is starting to develop into sharper angles around the face. Hair is kept cropped short and well maintained.

Mutation/Powers:

Primary : Mutation Detection - The ability to sense the presence of a mutation within another person. Currently limited in range to a half-mile radius. When in close proximity to another mutant (50 feet) is able to determine the nature of the mutation.

Secondary : Mutation Empathy - Linked to the above, when in close proximity is able to determine a very limited understanding of how a mutation works and how the person can use it.(Note: Does not mean he can use the mutation.)

Tertiary :

Drawbacks/Weaknesses : When surrounded by a great number of mutants finds it hard to differentiate between them.

How do you believe this character's powers will further develop in the future? Mutation Attuned - An ability to seek out and find mutants who's mutations he has come to know at a much greater distance. (Note: Not seek out pyrokinetics, but a certain pyrokinetic as each mutation has its own sense)

Background: Born in Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth, Merlin has only left that town twice in his life up till now. The third son of four sons, he's always been surrounded by family and so leaving them has caused a bit of separation anxiety.

Throughout his life Merlin has never lost a possession, be it a wallet, watch, phone or anything else. As far as he can remember he has always had a strange sense at the edge of his perception, though he had never been able to put to words exactly what it was.

It wasn't until he correctly identified a telepath passing through that his abilities were actually credited for what they were. The telepath told him, and his family, of a school for people like Merlin. Unsure, they sent the telepath away.

Months later a man arrived, looking to use Merlin's ability. He wouldn't say how he had found out about it. He offered to pay his family a great sum of money, but they turned him away. Worried that such things would become common, his parents and Merlin decided it would be best if he did investigate this school. A week later he was on a plane.
