Background: Not much is known of her birth parents, for a while she was shifted from foster home to foster home till her powers finally came to life. It was on her 13th birthday when her foster father tried to sexually assault her, as a result the poor bastard was literally crushed to death. Like a responsible citizen she called 9-1-1 for help, the worst thing she could do. It was the local authorities who had partnered with a mysterious company that dwelled in the shadows collecting mutants for research purposes that got their hands on her.
For what felt like a lifetime the poor girl was slowly becoming a damaged young woman. She had been forced to undergo tests as well as experiment with her powers. A life one shouldn’t have to live, Erika dreamed of life on the outside. Thanks to the efforts of Cobalt, she was rescued and given a normal life that a mutant could get. With their aid she would get her GED, to then graduate with her Bachelors in Criminal Justice. After college she would try her best to get a job in her degree field, but with her being a mutant…it was proving to be difficult. Then she got word of the most recent attack on Cobalt, using her connections she would reach out hoping for a chance to be hired as security.
